Raymond Taillefer, MD, FRCP (C), ABNM, Is an Established Nuclear Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology Expert with Hopital du Haut-Richelieu in Quebec, Canada

A Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada, Raymond Taillefer, MD, FRCP(C), ABNM, has been practicing for the past three decades as a nuclear cardiology and nuclear medicine specialist. Drawing on his remarkable knowledge and skills in his specialty, Dr. Taillefer serves as Director of Nuclear Medicine at the Hopital du Haut-Richelieu in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, Canada. Hopital du Haut-Richelieu, in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, Canada is part of the Health and Social Services Center of Haut-Richelieu-Rouville or Centre de Santé et des Services Sociaux (CSSS), which is one of the most important such centers in Quebec. Situated in Montérégie, south of Montréal, the Centre occupies a vast rural and urban territory. As a result of his contribution in cardiac imaging research trials, he has been offered the Herman L.B. Blumgart Award. Dr. Taillefer is also the Director at Les Services NucMed Inc, a nuclear imaging laboratory specializing in all phases of research trials involving radiopharmaceuticals, as well as Director of Medical Imaging at Certus Imaging, LLC. Earlier in his career, he served as Director of the Department of Nuclear Medicine at CHUM (Centre Hospitalier de l’Universite de Montreal) in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Dr. Taillefer is also a Professor of Nuclear Medicine in the Department of Radiology at the University of Montreal Faculty of Medicine in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, his alma mater. Dr. Raymond Taillefer has been a medical doctor since 1979 when he completed his medical education at the University of Montreal Faculty of Medicine in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He chose the same educational venue to conduct his residency training. He is certified by the American Board of Nuclear Medicine and by the Council of Nuclear Cardiology. Dr Taillefer’s 30 year of clinical research has led to more than one hundred peer-reviewed original scientific manuscripts, more than 750 lectures and 175 published abstracts, and more than 30 books and book chapters. He is serving as an editorial board member of several scientific medical journals including the Journal of Nuclear Medicine, the Journal of Nuclear Cardiology, and Clinical Nuclear Medicine. Dr Taillefer has served on numerous national and international scientific committees and organizing committees. He attributes his success to his work ethic, extensive training and education, passion for medical technology, superior patient care, and the challenges presented by the field he operates in. He has been given the Jean A. Vezina Award by the Société Canadienne-Francaise de Radiologie and was selected one of the Best Doctors in America and one of the Best Doctors in Canada. He has been a helicopter pilot for the past ten years and he enjoys traveling in his time off work.
